Re: Saving the best for last....
Interesting you said that Tigger. There was a lot of positive reception to pod sib #2 on another forum of DL hybridizers but I guess it's true what they say about opinions! I hate yellows and it is my least favorite of the 4.

Re: Pod siblings and other seedlings
I wish they were! There is one opening today that is just horrible looking. If the extra fat ruffly edges weren't hard enough to open properly, it is doing a polytepal thing again. And with 100F predicted and high humidity, I don't think it has a chance of looking decent. However, there were a coupl...

I think BU is a seedling.....
I posted my suspicion that Butt Ugly may have been a pot of seedlings I stick in the ground out of desperation a year ago. I am not good at tracking crosses, so I will collect a few seed pods from DLs that I like to grow them out in the winter. Some I know the pod parent, but all are either OP or I ...

They look great! I lost Joan Senior a couple of years ago to some sort of rot, need to replace it. And I love PB - what a cutie!

Re: This is so butt ugly I have no idea what it is supposed
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I think it might be an FFO on a seedling that I've never seen bloom. This entire bed was wiped out by deer last year and I had stuck several seedlings in there to grow them out along with the the ones I moved in a hurry. If it that is what it is, it is a very fast ...

This is the first flower open on it. I hope the next ones look better (or at least identifiable) LOL!

Re: This is so butt ugly I have no idea what it is supposed
No clue so far - I had to "emergency move" a bunch of stuff last fall when the front yard was dug up for the new sewer line, and I plunked stuff where ever it would fit. I was SURE" I would remember the easily identifiable ones.....

If you have customers who are interested in it, I would introduce it. You may not retire on the proceeds but if it makes people happy then what is the harm?

Baby pictures! You all voted on the pollen parent 4 years ag
I had an informal poll as to what to pollinate my pretty purple bi-color NOID? Well, after 2 seasons of no blooms, it put up a bloom scape last year and it was promptly eaten by the deer. So THIS year I kept a close eye on it and kept it doused in deer off and VOILA! We have baby pictures! Ye...
