Linda, So sorry to see all the damage to your trees. Ice storms can be so brutal. I've only lived through one, back in 1991( fortunatly this area doesn't get hit with them often) But it was just Amazing to me. Everything just coated in layers of Ice, beautiful but so devastating!

Do I have to be concerned for hostas over a large area or just in the immediate area around where the infected plant was .How soon would they develop symtoms if they had the virus. I noticed this one in my garden this am. Bummer!! Is this HVX or it a different virus. At first I thought it might be the arabic mosaic virus. Thanks everyone...I think I am just having that last minute panic lol. But I will sure feel a whole lot better when I actually see them poking up. I guess I need to be patient, it is suppose to be cold here for a while yet. I need spring to get here soon Lol.

I overwintered approx 50 hostas in my unheated barn due to I ran out of time before getting them all planted. I don't see any growth on mine. Do you think that's a bad sign?? Great !! I am a big time coffee drinker( more than I want to admit) but at least now I can put those grounds to good use.
