If it's really small it could be Dinky Circus. But that's only 1 possibility. Another is that it's just a seedling from mother nature.

Mike

MNMUK is, get this, listed at the online iris registry as a SIB. In my garden it behaves like all my other MTBs. I guess it really is mixed-up because it doesn't know what it is yet. Guess the gene sizes are always changing.

Hmm, sounds like my jean sizes for that matter....LOL

That's about what it amounts to, "cut-throat". How can we manage to play it here in cyberspace?

We did it where yes or no questions were asked and if you could answer yes you got a gift disguised (wrapped) prize and you just kept picking prizes until they were gone from the table and then you got to keep answe...

Tundra --

Doodle & Raspberry are what is referred to as Broken Color irises. There are many to choose from. One hybridizer in particular specializes in these. Here's a link to see more BC irises.

Transplant shock with a freeze. As long as the other two stalks are fine, your overall plant is healthy.

Novelty irises are any that consistently bloom is an unusual manner. Usually having horns, flounces, or spoons at the tip of the beards (those are now referred to commonly as Space-age irises) or only have six falls and no standards (these are commonly referred to as "flatties"). This particular fla...

GM -- check at the base of the stalk and see if it's been cut or chewed. Also look at the rhizomes are they firm or softening as if decay has set in. If the bud continues to look likes it wilting, it could be more than just temps. Also, have you had any freezing temps while this stalk was being prod...

At the local garden I walked through flowers that were knee high this year and normally they are up to my shoulders. They look cute so I spent time looking them up on the list only to find they were ones I already had or had by-passed in previous years.

Novelty TB, Unfurled Flag

Thought you would enjoy seeing this. It's not a Japanese, it's a tall bearded.

Weather temps can cause stalks to do this. Extremes or frequents changes between hot & cold. As long as it's firm and not mushy you're ok.

Yes, those are broken colors. I've got MN Mixed-Up Kid growing in my garden too. Mike is it supposed to be a tall TB or a short TB. This year mine looks like an MTB. Oh well, with crazy temperature patterns, I had SDB's throwing broken colors. I took pics and called them the WANNABEES! Sea Monster, ...

Without the preemptive comment about sparsity, I would have never guessed you removed hundreds of plants. Moving an entire garden twice in a short amount of time must be difficult.

Lovely, what is the siberian in the 2nd shot?
