Tropical Hosta Problem
I have a tropical hosta that I am overwintering in my basement. I have noticed recently that it is getting sick. I am seeing black stuff, possibly a fungus, all over stems and flowers. I also noticed a lady bug. Here are some pics. Any help would be appreciated. Leaves are a little sticky too.

New lemon basil sprouts!!
I can't believe it!! I planted some lemon basil seed and put it in my growing station and they are starting to germinate. I am starting to see some buds!
This is the first time I have tried growing something from seed inside. Hope they turn out ok!

Thanks for all the feedback. These were actually shelves that I had built. Didn't need them as shelves anymore so I enclosed with some luann and put some plastic that I can lift up in front to hold in some heat. I can lower the lights all the way down if I want. I do like the idea about doing some s...

I want to try doing this with geraniums, too. The soil right now is bone dry but I am still getting some blooms. Should I water it slightly to keep the soil moist? Do I need to put them under grow lights? I plan on building a mini growing area in my basement with some flourescent lights with full sp...

Petunias popping up everywhere!
Well, I found two more petunias coming up that I did not plant! Can dig them up and overwinter them or use cuttings and start new plants?
