Mine have started blooming at about 2 years..I keep them very cool in the winter (about 45-50) they rest the winter then start blooming in the spring and some thru ourt the year..except for the hard headed night bloomers.

hello everyone, haven't been here for about a year-life got in the way-
Thought you may want to see some epis (orchid cactus) that have bloomed this year.

the night blooming cereous still hasn't bloomed-

I have 2 and the plants are ugly tho interesting..anticipation is awful watching for blooms! lol
I think I am hooked on these and Rhips.

I have 2 night blooming cereous - but they've never bloomed..3 years old. can't wait.
also have a Rhipsalis cereuscula -thats the epi family too-but not the stunning blooms like yours.

To my knowledge I don't have any with the virus..I haven't bought any hostas in well over a year..and most I have came from you in 91-93. After the second tree came down this sring we are still rescuing hostas and trying to move some.. damaged but no visial signs of virus.. good info to have..thanks...

How do you suggest they be destroyed? What about the surrounding soil-how is that effected?
