Happy New Year
I've been really busy here, working on the new house and also working full time and loving it. Hope you are both doing well.

Re: How are the Idiots doing these days?
Hi Diana! I have also wondered how the "idiots" are doing and will try to get in touch with them. We also went to Italy this autumn (Western Sicily) and had a wonderful time. Sorry you got covid. I've had it twice myself and just got my new booster last Saturday. Masks are mostly a thing of the past...

Re: Maple Leaf "reversion"
I agree with Pieter. You could call it Golden Maple or even call it any other of the solid yellow sports from Frances Williams as they will often be nearly the same.

Hi Kate,
Sorry for the delay in approving the post. Yes, that looks like High Society when it is younger. It can be slow to grow and mature so be patient, but it will grow up and look great

Hi there!
How big is it, and when do you think you bought it? I’ll try to figure it out for you

That’s basically what I was thinking. I can shelter them in a cold area for the winter. I don’t have a shade garden yet and the sun woke them up too soon

Re: We're not far off now...
Hi Pieter, Yes, Facebook killed off the independent forums. And it is a nightmare trying to truly share good information there. Our hostas had trouble this spring as they started to poke out during a warm spell in late March and then were faced with frost multiple times into May each time the leaves...

And hi there Diana! I’m going to start growing more in pots year round now I think too. The plants we kept in pots last winter did great. Zone 8b/9a Ireland means learning a lot of new plants too

We aren’t too far off on a couple here either. Lederhosen is actually the first one looking like it will unfurl. I’ll have to get some pictures of the progress. Lots of eyes showing.

Re: (Cov)Idiots Camp! Episode 1
How wonderful :) My brother and I used to go boondocking back during our college days and shortly after. It was a rarity for us to stay at a location with facilities, even when we trecked over 5 weeks from Michigan to Alaska. And my brother spent most of this summer going camping to avoid the lockdo...

Re: Moved over 500 hostas
It is like complaining about the weather here. One day we went to a park and spent the entire day there with sunny skies for hours. On the drive home it started raining and poured for about 2 hours. The next day all of our neighbours complained about how bad the weather was the day before and wow, d...

Re: Moved over 500 hostas
Thank you Pia. I have the second interview some day this week and am hopeful. I would be managing a grocery store so no lack of work there. Lots of people are out of work since there is no tourism going on now. And I feel bad to be progressing on a job when my neighbour has been looking and he has h...

Re: New forums - let me know if you find any issues
Hi Chris. I noticed that links within a topic don't branch correctly. Check Harry van de Leer to see a bunch of links. Yes, whenever a hard link was used it would have been broken back when the forums moved to a new domain. I'll search the database as soon as I get my computer here as it is a lot e...

Re: New forums - let me know if you find any issues
I will search the database to see if there are any other direct links to the old website. So far this looks good and I love that I can attach images directly from my phone photos and camera. The host I was using went out of business a the end of September and I was given only a few days to find a ne...
