So glad you are feeling better Chris! It is horrible when you can't get anyone to listen to you. Looking forward to seeing these new projects you are working on. Happy New Year and all the best to you and Brian.

Re: Streaked or Sick?
They may make that kind of mistake if they thought that a Blizzard had stabilized out to Winter Snow and sold it as that. That's an easy mistake when you are selling very small plants. That's why I grow them a bit longer to be sure they are what they are supposed to be.

Re: Nematodes with a side of HVX ???
I agree with Chris and Tigger. Cascades just looks like this at this time of year. Definitely don't see any HVX at all. Looks like meltout rather than nematode damage to me as well.

Wow...can't wait for mine to get that big! Shouldn't take long now...but it's growing in pretty much full sun. I will have to take a pic of it next year.

Re: Hosta 'Eye Never' - A Hallson Gardens hosta introduction
Well, Chris, I've only had it a few months,
but it sure is a nice plant. If it grows well next year(and no reason to think it won't), then it should definitely be sliced and diced
I will let you know how it does over here. Keep up the good work!

Re: Differences between LS Black Satin vs Ventricosa
Jerryshenk, I think yours is more like undulata Erromena as you noted it's early emergence and flowering time. Royal Standard flowers in August and the flowers are white and fragrant. LBS and ventricosa look very much the same. I have mine planted on opposite sides of our property and in different e...

Linda, I was helping with it. Hopefully John will let you talk him into changing plans every now and then. It is so nice to see people that you would not get a chance to see otherwise!

Re: Back from a terrific visit to Hosta College
I really enjoyed my trip to Hosta College this year. The classes I attended were very good. I do agree with Chris on the Cypripedium class. I learned that I really don't care to spend the money to try to grow them. I have enough addictions here as it is. How did everyone like the dinner? I enj...

Yes, Quiet Waters still exists  And you may be right Don... It may never be successfully tc'd. Not sure when or if I will ever try it again. If you want to see it, you will have to come here and visit my gardens. I love to have garden visitors! Wally's Bullfrog does look somewhat like 'Quiet Wa...

Touched by Midas was on the list but this daylily has red streaking in the petals - it's a little hard to see in the picture but shows up much nicer in person.
