Mine took some 10 years before it flowered at all. This is its best year so far. I only prune to keep it cut back to size, and it has never been fed (in line with my motto 'feed nothing, and then nothing will feel left out' )

Good to see the new leaf on the Japanese maples. It is certainly true that these trees are at their prettiest close up in Spring, and from a distance in Autumn

Yes Pia, the weather here has been beautiful ever since we returned from Barbados in early March. Had some great weather over the Easter holiday period particularly
