I buy the chemicals from Carlin Sales which only ship to IA, IN, IL, MI and WI. Banrot ($86 2lb. jug) contains Etridiazole in addition to Thiophanate-Methyl which prevents and controls Southern Blight making it a little more expensive than the Clearys 3336WP ($64 2lb. bag). I treat other disease pro...

What kind of crown rot is it? Mushy, gray, and smelly or dry and rusty brown? You can try and save the plants by cutting out the rot and treating with a specific root rot chemical. I use Clearys 3336WP and Banrot. They are expensive but last a long time and work on all four types of crown rot found ...

Hi Chris,

This photograph was stock from the photographer so I didn't see the original plant, nor was it labeled in any way. Wish I could answer questions about size, height, and foliage! I thought I would try my luck here before I scrapped the photo and found something else.

Thanks,
Jill

Need flower id for book

Hi,

Can anyone help me out? This flower photo goes on the opening spread of a garden guide I am working on. It needs to be identified or it will need to be replaced.

Thanks! Jill

Thanks - With your help I was able to figure out they are the smaller variety, Cypripedium calceolus parviflorum, "Lesser Yellow Lady's Slipper". I hope they keep coming back! So many of our wildflowers show up for a few years than disappear.
