Check out our webshot albums on our test of Messenger on our veggie garden. I also tested it on Brugmansia and were shocked how well they did and some fall brugmansia seedlings that are now already 10" tall. I'll be using it and to buy, buy it direct from the folks in Bothel and save money! Tell them that karmahappytoes sent ya!

I will be using this on my hosta seedlings but remember to only use this when the plant is actively growing. Some folks are just using it for an over all protection but not what the site advises. Also be careful mixing some of the fertilizers with it in order to cut done on your spraying.
I did use their fertilizer, nice added touch!

Any ideas where you can find this stuff (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.)? I have some plants I would like to try it on, especially a couple of hibiscus plants (one of which I have to bring in during the winter because it is not winter hardy).

year over year results seem to be improving...

2005 Revenue (year to date)...is twice last year total revenue!

EPS is still negetive ... but improving.

Buster, I'm not one to jump on the band wagon so when folks said to try it on all my plants I said no way! Now I'm eating crow and can tell you the things I tried it on were twice the size compared to the same plant next to it. I figured the veggie garden was the best to try, safe right, it's just what we eat and we rotate the crops yearly. Well I had to keep them cut back they went nuts only on a few strays. I sprayed brugmansia seedling and not the hosta ones. I will be using it this next year and on the hosta seeds this winter. Do follow the directions and only use when they are actively growing. I also found it's is cheaper to buy direct and not locally where the price was almost doubled. It cut down on other sprays that we use and the roses looked so good, the main reason to get it!

Funny how sometimes when you pursue a particular subject you end up in a thread you didn't know about. Like this one for example.

The last contribution to this was some 30 months ago and I'm sure some of those who contributed will have things to add to it by now, unless of course that was all covered in a new thread I haven't run across as yet. The only other reference to the product I can find is on a BAP thread from late last year where Kent mentions he'll continue to use the product. I wonder if Chris ever conducted the experiments and told us of the results at some point. Does Karma still use it?

Too bad BTW that link to the Edenbio stock quote cannot be split up, makes reading this second part of the thread a PAIN.

And no, I never got around to doing any messenger experiments. I'd still like to try it, though, as I think a controlled experiment showing year after year results would be the best way to go about it. No question Messenger has been proven great for annuals and vegetables, I just haven't heard much about how it would affect perennials over the long term.

Pieter, yes I still use it and have several pkg. on my desk.
Matter of fact my DH forbids me to use it in the veggie garden as our corn reaches well over 7 feet and many ears.
Last year I proved that if I don't use, well no bumper crop of veggies. We grow enough veggies the prior year we were still eating them when it was time to harvest. All the perennials also get a couple shots a year and what is left goes on the lawn, nothing is wasted!

Matter of fact I was looking at old photos and you should see the difference!

Karma, that looks like The Attack of The Killer Corn Stalks out in your yard, goodness gracious me. Tell us please, what exactly do you notice as the beneficial effect on your perennials, are they larger, more vibrant in colour, set more seed, or......

We did our first test on a couple Mandevillea besided the veggies and you can see the results on the veggies. The one Mande was so healthy looking, blooms better and really took the winter better than the one that didn't get treatment. The next year we used it on the Brugmansia and that was the year we got the huge numbers of blooms.
I will tell you one year no one around us had tomatoes but we had plenty for everyone due to using 'M.' One should just try it for a season!

The alfalfa contain a growt proteine and all plants love it

You can add alfalfa pills to the soil or make a mixure and spray it on the leaves

I have been using it for a few yrs now and I really like it! I spray it on all my new seedlings or new transplanted plants!
I use it almost everyday instead of ever 3wks.
It gets pretty stinky if you dont use it up right away!! So i give everything a squirt everyday!

It seems to do wonders for the plants!
