Re: Hallson's Spring Hosta Trade 2009
Hi Hallson's Hosta-Holics,
John asked me to introduce myself. I'm not a trade newbe. I've participated in trades on GardenWeb's hosta forum too. I'm always anxious to see whose name I receive and to see their list of hostas. Then the real fun begins - do I have something they don't already have????? I'll try to attach my hosta list too.
I live in Northwest Indiana; about four hours from Hallson's. Love their nursery and their mail order!
I've been serious about hostas for about five years. I have a sister that got most of her starts from me. She then brags about how well hers are doing. Now we enjoy watching for all the sales so we can share with each other. For her birthday, I purchased Mark's new book for her. What would she do without me????? LOL
Looking forward to the trade - can't imagine how much work it takes to manage one. Thanks to Brian for all the time and effort.

Re: Hallson's Spring Hosta Trade 2009
I wasn't going to join this time, but thought about it and just didn't want to miss out on all the fun. It's fun to receive, but I worry alot about what I am sending to my secret trader so they won't be disappointed.
Will update my list before the weekend.
Will pm my info now.

Re: Hallson's Spring Hosta Trade 2009 **2 days left to sign-up**
Brian, I sent you a PM, well I hope I sent you one. I haven't been on here in so long I was having trouble with it. I didn't read it correctly (some friends of mine might say it's a blonde thing) so I kept putting Secret trade in where your name was supposed to be. Of course, it kept coming back saying I didn't tell it who to send it to, then I couldn't remember how you spelled your hallson name, so it was fun trying to figure it all out. I think I got it finally!
If not, I want in!
Thanks to everyone who sent me messages so I wouldn't miss it!

Re: **1 day left to sign-up** Hallson's Spring Hosta Trade 2009
I just can't......I wish I could.....but for real, I don't know what I would do with them.....no room.....no shade......I need to get rid of hosta's, not get more....
You all have fun!!! I will watch......I envy people with good shade and land......

Re: **1 day left to sign-up** Hallson's Spring Hosta Trade 2009
Well, Lucy, get rid of some by sending to your secret-trader, this will leave you room for your new arrival(s).

That sounds like a good suggestion from John, LucyGoose!! If you need any daylilies let me know. I probably have about 80 named ones (including Papillon, as you know!!!)
Anyhow, go ahead and sign up; YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!

Lori, do you have a list online of those daylilies? Just curious... C'mon, let's each grab one of Lucy's arms and give an ever-so-gentle twist...

OK, I'll give up on this one
I know the new puppy will keep you plenty busy once she arrives, which is what, two more weeks? What fun!!
Just let me know when you're ready for more daylilies

Re: **1 day left to sign-up** Hallson's Spring Hosta Trade 2009
Hmm, LucyGoose, it seems you've recently killed off at least seventeen (17) hosta. That must have left some bare spots... Shall we sign you up?
