Looks like a Stinkhorn, or Phallus rubicundus . I had one of those a couple years ago in my compost pile.

oh yeah. It smells AWFUL, doesn't it?! lol!
When you remove it (and I recommend that you do ;^) be sure to dig gently around the base... beneath the soil you will find white jelly-like sacs that must be removed, or you'll get more.
