Does everyone want the text to be larger on the forums?
Hi Everyone,
DonnaDelaware mentioned that the "type" is hard on her eyes. I'm not sure if she meant the font size, but I think that was it, so I created two new styles for the board where the font sizes are all larger. You can try this style out by going to your user control panel, go to board preferences, then where it says my board style select the color and size you want. Standard is 20% larger than the old one (which is now called smaller) and the larger is about 20% larger yet.
Here is the link where you can test it out: ucp.php?i=165

Re: Does everyone want the text to be larger on the forums?
Please note that you might not see these changes right away if you have been using the font size toggle in the upper right corner. That overrides the style set in the UCP. To get back to the UCP setting that I'm talking about, where you change the style, you may need to quit your browser and do a shutdown and restart of your computer. Then you should be seeing those changes.
Let me know if you have trouble. I see that several people have been experimenting with the different styles as the number of users on each style keeps changing, so I'm hoping to get some feedback.
Thanks
Chris

Re: Does everyone want the text to be larger on the forums?
This is it for now - no more changes so you guys can get settled in.
There are now 3 options for each of the color themes and I've named them better instead of using the old codes I was working with:
Green-Largest Fonts
Green-Standard Fonts
Green-smaller fonts
Blue-Largest Fonts
Blue-Standard Fonts
Blue-smaller fonts
The default used to be the smaller fonts, so there are now two new sizes. For all new members and for users that are not logged in they will see the middle size in blue. Once you log in you can select your own size and color in the User Control Panel (UCP) and select your own style found under the board preferences tab:
ucp.php?i=165
Hope that is helpful!

Was that helpful? you asked. YES! I've been zooming up using my computer display settings, and sometimes I miss seeing something that is off screen. I haven't explored my user control panel for several years, and I am so pleased to see just how much I can customize what I see. You da Man!

Nice, guess we are starting to show our age.
When I joined, didn't need reading glasses, then came the day I need them for small print, today can't see a darn thing with out them.

Haven't been here for awhile; so didn't see this poll. What I'm seeing now is OK for me, but I'm not clear whether it's been changed.

Yes, it used to not be an issue with me either. Today I had to read a very tiny serial number off my projector and there was no chance. I tried and tried, squinted, tried to get more light on it... Took a picture with my phone and was able to enlarge it that way
Glad that everyone is more comfortable with the larger fonts and sorry I didn't look into this sooner.
