Hey everyone, just wanted to share a pic of my Spilt Milk I got from Chris two years ago. It's really looking good this year so far. Love it. The subtle misting and coloration in the leaves is not really represented in the pic.
Looks great, Paul!! I have one coming from Hallson's this week I believe. My old one didn't survive after a couple of years of root strangulation from the crab apple. I'm sure my new one will look as good as yours before too long.
What a wonderful hosta. I looks like its name, and is so different from the rest. My first one died and I decided that I had to have another, mostly because it is so unique.
Paul....now THAT'S a Spilt Milk!! My poor thing let all the milk spill right off the leaves and now it looks just plain green.....at least so far anyway.
Spilt Milk hates meand at this point, I could cry over it!I have tried to grow it, for years, every spring that it doesn't come back, I'll buy a new one, place it in a different location in my gardens, and I still haven't found a "happy spot" for it!What looked promising last fall, was GONE this spring
Spider is wise! I should use good common sence and just give up on owning Spilt Milk .......But then I see beautiful examples like yours Paul, and I'm smitten all over again
I hope mine will grow up like yours when I decide on a permanent spot for it. It's still in the holding bed. It's only one eye this year but it's pretty.
BEAUTIFUL
At one of my local hosta haunt's.....They have they BIGGEST clump of Spilt Milk, that I have ever seen ! I had to do a double take, and say, is that........OMG!!!.......it is, That's Spilt Milk!
