HostaRod MN sighting

Post by putnamgardens »

All my MN& WI hosta friends are invited to our action June 21st starting at noon. See directions below. I bet I'll even have a box lunch for ya. Later, Love, Lisa
P.S. Rod's in town and I'm hopefull he can come. I promise they're one streaky seedling he can't live without. Later, Love, Lisa

Directions to Rum River Cental Park....

Take 35W north to Hwy 10 west. Follow Hwy 10 west eight miles to the 7th Ave (Hwy 7) exit. Turn right at the exit and follow 7th Ave north six miles to 179th Ln Nw and turn right into the park.

Note: 7th Ave will turn into 165th Ave for a westerly 1/2 miles stretch and then into Roanoke St when continuing north to the park entrance.

After entering the park and passing gatehouse, turn right on road at next major intersection. At end of road is the Picnic Pavilion and parking area.
Have I mentioned lately that my drinking team has a hosta problem?

Lisa was obviously too busy getting ready for the shindig today to be able to write back. Today is the MHS garden tour... this year in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities.

I had hoped to go, but we have a deck party planned tonight, with 16 folks checking out the garden, so I'm tied to the chore list for the rest of the day. I'm sure a great time will be had by all. Maybe HostaRod or Lois (she was planning to go) will give us a report...

Honestly....I missed you at the auction Rod. Our Mystery plant is always a desireable breeder. Would you believe a streaky Dorothy Benedict single division, OS, went for $125.-? Lucky duck. It could have been going home to Iowa with you. Rats, win some, lose some. Are you heading home on Sunday? Call me. You have an open invitation to visit PutnamGardens. Later, Love, Lisa

Argh, I wish I had checked the forum last night or even this morning! That's only a couple of miles from my house!

Sorry to have missed it. :(
