I already know that several people I asked can't make it that day. But it's summer and so much is going on...
Put it on your calendar!!
Sunday, July 25th
10 AM - whenever you want to leave.

Lunch will be around 1pm.
Bring a covered dish - whatever you like - meat, vegetable, pasta, salad, or dessert.
I will provide meat for sandwiches and I'm planning to fix some 'zippy' meat balls.
Bring a chair. There are some here but not enough.
If you want to get in on the hosta swap [always a highlight of the day] bring a hosta or 2 or 3.
We'll do the usual 3 rounds.
The address is:
9678 NE 26th Court
Ankeny, IA 50021
The house is easy to get to, but NOT easy to see.
Mature trees obscure the house [left side of street] which is bermed and about 4 feet lower than the street.
[The light grayish-blue garage door is visible if you're in the right spot to see it.]
There is a black mailbox with the address next to the street. The driveway is just past it.
Please don't park in the small parking area in front of the garage. Park along the west [left] side of the
street after turning around in the driveway. Currently the house directly across the street is unoccupied.
If it still is on the 25th, then several vehicles could park in the circular driveway there.
Use Google maps:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
[I saw it on Mapquest the other day when I was scheduling a delivery.
Do NOT use Mapquest. It's one of those 'you can't get there from here' kinda deals.
It puts you on the other side of the creek and there'd be a lot of brush to walk thru.
But the creek took out the bridge about 3 years ago so you'd need your wading boots.
And a rope and grappling hook...]
The directions are easy enough.
Go to Ankeny, IA via I-35.
Take the 1st Ave exit. Turn east.
Do NOT go toward Ankeny.
You will cross over a small bridge.
Take a left at the 1st street after that - NE Frisk Drive.
[There is a frisbee golf course/parking area on the left side of the street.]
Take the 2nd right onto NE 96th Ave.
Take the 1st left onto NE 26th Court.
If you go beyond where the street curves back to the east, you've gone too far!!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!!
