Liberty - Finally looking good!
Thought I had a dud, this one has been in my garden for several years, got a nice surprise this year!
Re: Liberty - Finally looking good!
Very nice! Defiantly on of my favorite. Mine went from one to four eyes this year. Excited to see it unfurl.

Re: Liberty - Finally looking good!
That's great to see
This is how the original Liberty always behaved, taking years to step up and show those beautiful margins. These days the Liberty in tissue culture have been selected for their wider margins from the start so this isn't such an issue any longer, but I'm sure you were upset that this one wasn't turning out right until now.

Re: Liberty - Finally looking good!
A late frost damaged most of the leaves on my enormous Sagae and several other hosta. The pictured Liberty had frost damage on on a leaf or two, not so bad but still disappointing.
Keeping fingers crossed, over the years I've been lucky and have experienced very little hail damage to my plants. Can't imagine having to live with shredded hostas for the rest of the season.

My 'Liberty' is not yet unfurled, but it's already a drama queen.
