Believe it or not, I WON this plant at a garden show a month ago. I forgot to ask the name of the plant. Now it bothers me that I do not know the variety. I have gone to two plant nurseries and they have only been mildly helpful, unfortunately. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you David and Pia. I will do my homework and see what I can come up with. I keep asking myself "why didn't I ask what the name of the plant was?" But I guess I was just so surprised to be given the plant, I just couldn't think straight!
Could it be a dwarf cultivar of Lawson's cypress? I don't know how they ever keep these sorted out, when dwarf forms can look so unlike mature natural forms.
Well after doing more research (and your help), I think I have found the name of this evergreen - Siberian Carpet Cypress (microbiota decussata). Good guess Buckeye! Thank you all!
