Hibiscus it is -I have had a standard for 3 years now, but this year the leaves are tiny, tiny as a finger nail.

Yeah, Pia Rose of Sharon is what I know them as. I have a hedge of them and they do quite well. Seed all over, but so do half my other plants lol. I have never had any trouble with small leaves or anything else, hope some one else knows.
Pia, we have several and noted last year that the mites found them which made the leaves tiny. We sprayed on a regular bases and decided last fall
to cut them down at the soil. We have to do this with the azeala here and they come back so we thought we would try this with the Rose of Sharons.
We are a strong believer of taking the food source away from the mites, they sit up under some huge pines.

Maybe Next year. Lost 2 out of 3 in huge pots too, do not understand what is going on and have to figure it out before I start some new ones
One of them never came and the other got some tiny sprouting leaves and then died
