Not this year Jay Dee.
I have never seen such active growth in the the winter, ever.
I hope you are right that no harm was done. I walked around today saw some new growth, but not on the ones showing it in January.
I only wished they all stayed under like they should of.

One more thing, up here it is very rare to see rebloom, sometimes I see new scapes, but we will usualy have a freeze before anything happens.
Stella De Ora will rebloom but the blooms are weak or stunted, scapes shorter, etc. Not a pretty sight.

gramush you are just experiencing what we have almost every year. My ground hasn't frozen the last two years it has been so mild. Three years ago we had a major ice storm in February - did you ever see daylily foliage coated with 2" of ice - not a pretty sight.

You don't have enough growing days for rebloom scapes to form. Many of my rebloomers form their second scapes immediately - I prefer the ones that bloom and then send up scapes so the season is extended. When you have six fans with 18 scapes all blooming at once, it is pretty, but it doesn't last long enough. Picky, picky picky - I guess I should be happy I get any rebloom.
