I find it next to impossible to get a picture of Charles Johnston that is accurate in color.
This one (which I shaded with myself) is closer - but the truth lies somewhere in between:
Big Smile - one of my favorites - in three different lighting situations (all within 5 minutes)
With a flash:
In the bright sun:
And moments later, in the shade:
I dont know if this is Strawberry Swirl, or if it's Radiant Love - but it's one of the two (and I may never know, as I have both)
Lake Norman Sunset:
And Smokey Mountain Autumn:

Hi guys! Charles Johnston (which is one of my favs) is actually a velvety wine color - a red wine color. Not purple at all, but not bright red either. Nice one! Cant for the life of me photograph it, though

I find if I take pics when it's cloudy out, the picture comes out closer in color. Not a real dark cloudy just like when it is overcast outside. Or take them in the early morn or later in the evening. Did that make sense?
Either way all your flower are really pretty!

Yes, I've used a body or hand more than once to attempt to get true colors.

A wine color ,huh? Sure is pretty, no matter what the true color is.

Great shots Snow

thanks... Charles J is a favorite here too, as are most all reds. The fickle coloring of Hems is part of their appeal

Gorgeous!
It looks like Big Smile isn't going to bloom for me this year.
