and it's all Sam's fault! So help me out here guys
I have dozens of J. Maple seeds planted. Now if I get at least one of these to grow for me, I have invisioned a SMALL Japanese garden for it to set in. If you would please, just a few suggestions as to what to go with it? Keep it simple now. No fancy, shmancy stuff

A single Maple can make a nice backdrop for a Tsukabi.

Ye see the problem we're gonna have here Mike?
Ye see?
Debs ... ye DON'T want a lot of statues OR plants
Simple is the word.
Japanese gardens need rocks, stones and water
A few very large rocks, water (or a dry stream if you don't have any), ferns, hostas, your Japanese Maple, maybe a Japanese White pine (cloud pruned?)
Maybe a Tsukabai (basin) with a small water feature for sound (OR a Shishi Odoshi?)
Gravel? Stepping stones??
A little Japanese Lantern? (you can make one)

Ye gettin' the idea?
