PCI stands for Pacific Coast Iris. Basically that means that they are native to the Pacific coast or are hybrids of the natives. Mostly evergreen foliage, way cool flowers and highly adaptable.
Garden of MU's partner and I were hiking on a bluff right above the Pacific Ocean and found a patch on an exposed rock that was constantly buffeted by coastal winds.
