Almost iris time... again

Post by Garden_of_Mu »

As the season for irises approaches I thought I'd post a couple of pics to whet the appetite for my favorite flower. I currently have reticulatas blooming in their pots during ths nice warm and sunny spell we are having. They are so cute. I can't wait to add loads more of them to the edges of the new garden where they can be ignored (they love our climate). Will try to get a pic tomorrow for ya'all.

In the meantime, here are some really nice PCIs growing at the home of my friends Elaine and Jerome. They have promised me a start of that gorgeous wine red one. They have a wonderful assortment of varieties they have grown from seeds scattered about their garden.

Beautiful, Mike! Thank you. :D There is nothing blooming here yet. I'm looking forward to bloom season.

I received an e-mail on Friday from Argyle Acres saying that their web site has been updated. It's time to start my wish list. :D Thank you for rekindling my interest in these beautiful flowers.

Here's a shot of my little i. reticulata 'Cantab'. It is the bluest of the reticulatas, IMO.
