My first spring iris bloom

Things are a little later this eyar than last, but then last year was exceptionally early. this is a little noid MDB. Possibly a species or at least a very very old one (you can tell by the extremely narrow hafts). The flower is only about 6 inches at the top, though the foliage will reach about 10" as it grows over the summer.

Hey Mike! Is that the one that you gave me a piece of last week? I broke it apart and filled a pot with it, hoping to get the same effect as yours in the pot. Can't wait to see it blooming

Yep, that's it... and my pleasure! Thank you for taking care of my babies for me.

I iddi have a coral bark maple in this pot, but it died on me. I'll take all these out when tehy are done blooming and replant them elsewhere in a big mass. Should have been done last year, as they are really overgrown in here.
