Sunset Snows, (Jean Stevens, 1963)
I just love this iris. the color and form are wonderful - nothing else like it. I've been putting pollen all over each bloom that opens hoping to bring our more tones in the amoena pattern with that old fashioned form. We'll see if I get anything to take.

Now to see if I have anything to tempt you with in order to get one of those rzs for my very own ... ;-)

Glad everyone likes it. :D

Sorry Laurie, but I'm trying to get a clump of this going and it is a very slow grower. Third year in and only two bloomstalks. Maybe in a couple more seasons...

Isn't that always the way? It seems that when I find an iris that just knocks my socks off, it invariably is a snail of a grower ... or it turns out not to be tough enough to handle my climate and disappears as soon as I fall in love with it. Why is that? ;-)

Hi Mike - I'm going to try to get out there next weekend to see you gardens. Looks like you've expanded a lot down the driveway since I was last there!
