LG, I was wondering the same thing. Never heard of a Potcake of any kind, Royal Bahamian or anything else. I WILL have to do a google!

Your furbabies are so cute! I love Chelsea's nose in your shoe. We had a chihuahua when we were kids who adored my dad and always slept on his shoes.

Royal Bahamian Potcakes are a 'breed' of dogs developed over the last couple hundred years in the Bahamas. They are related to the Carolina Dog

Don't feel bad Lucygoose. The kitties are always burying their heads in my shoes too.

Love all these pics!
Before criticizing someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them you will be a mile away and have their shoes!

 Whoops! I knew I should have doubled checked her name.

MaynardMarie, did I see your pooch pictures on another websit when I googled "Royal Bahamian Potcakes?"
The dogs have an interesting history. Just goes to show you that even an old woman like me can learn something new!

MM, I've had the pleasure of meeting a Carolina Dog. I'm going to have to look up the RBPs. Looks fascinating!

Have I ever mentioned that I love this place? Where else can you find great pictures of sneaker-sniffing doggies, peek-a-boo kitties, and as sideline learn about a breed of dog you've never before encountered?
Great pics, everyone! LG, I know why Ginger likes your shoes, and it has nothing to do with smelly feet. :) They smell like you, and so if she can't cuddle up with you, she'll sleep on your shoes. Dolly sleeps in the bathroom (otherwise she is on guard all night, and lets us know if there's anything dangerous in the yard, like a moving blade of grass, or perhaps a leaf swirling past the window) and when she was a pup I would put my shirt or a pair of jeans on the floor for her, and she would sleep on that. If I leave my dirty gardening clothes on the floor at night, she drags them over to her bed.

LucyGoose, your furkids are wonderful. The puppy picture is funny. And Curtis.....what's to say? He's such a cat! I just love his fluffy orangey cream fur. Don't you love when they cover their eyes like that?

MaynardMarie, I'd never heard of your breed of dog either, but their pictures are worth a thousand words. Such sweet faces.
