Dutch Boy Scented ceiling paint - never again!

Postby Chris_W » Fri Aug 08, 2008 10:21 pm

Hi,

I just wanted to share my recent experience with the new Dutch Boy scented ceiling paint. I should have known better, but I thought it would be alright and might make the house smell fresh instead of freshly painted. Boy, was I wrong about that! This horrific scented paint permeated the house for almost a week, making it hard to breath, even with all of the windows open. After a couple days I had to borrow some commercial fans to air things out in order to stand being inside. Anyone with asthma probably would have needed hospitalization, it was so bad, so if you have breathing problems or are "scentsitive" to these things I would stay far away from this "new" creation.

Just wanted to share so that others might not make the same mistake.

Take care,

Chris
