What kind of slipper is this?

Wow, they do look similar to that one, but I looked in my wildflower book finally (took a while to find it) and found that Cypripedium candidum is native to alkaline bogs in Southern Michigan, so that's most likely what it is. I took a walk through the bog and it is coming up quite a bit in the more grassy areas but there is one very large colony right next to an area that we were mowing last summer. I am so glad that we didnt' mow there yet or we might have missed them again!
