Arc De Triomphe
Anyone know this one? I got to see a picture of it on another forum and it's gorgeous!
Chris doesn't have it in the lineup and neither does Naylor's Bridgewood or Plant's Delight. I used Garden Watchdog to check on the one place I found it and I'm not going to use them after what I read and their response!

Thanks Jeroen.
So glad to hear what you have to say. It's always nice to know they're not just a pretty face!

Now you can see why this plant made such a strong impression on me!!! I took one look and it left me breathless!
Last night I kept dreaming about it. I was pairing it up with Love Pat (got to get that one) in my dream.
Well now you guys know I dream about plants and gardens most of the time

One concern I have... I believe Ed Elslager registered 'Arc de Triomphe' as a streaked plant and now it is being sold in the trade as a margined hosta. This has happened with many of Ed's plants, including 'Teeny Weeny Bikini', 'Celestial', 'Rhinestone Cowboy', and others.
If someone has the AHS registration guide, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

John - I just cked the online registration site & it says its dark green with a yellow margin.

Interesting that the streaked plants would be registered instead of the stable ones since so many of the streaked plants are never registered. I'll have to do a little more cking & see what the registrations says about the others you mentioned.
Well curiosity got the better of me...
Celestial - dark green w/a greenish yellow margin [Dorothy Benedict x hypoleuca]
(But there is Celestial Lightning that is 'medium green streaked with greenish-yellow, pale yellow, yellow, creamy white' that is listed as a sport of Celestial]
Rhinestone Cowboy - medium green streaked w/a 1.25" pure white margin [Sea Prize x H. maekewa]
Teeny Weeny Bikini - pale yellow w/a medium green margin [Tsugaru Komachi selfed]
I had no idea until I did that search that Ed Elslager had so many hostas registered. 240 altogether - but a relatively small percentage that are available commercially.
