Karma, that's the Kopper King, if I didn't mention it before. I know the feeling, as I'll be adding more I don't already have, or maybe have to get of these, if I can't find others :(

Sam, those are commonly called Rose of Sharon here. They have even naturalized in parts of the U.S.

Imagine my surprise when I read recently that 'Rose of Sharon' are considered 'obnoxious' in some areas! I can't seem to keep them alive long enough to seed! :(

Hi guys. As soon as my Luna Pink Swirl puts out a bloom I will get you a pic. It is really pretty, but it has not bloomed for about 3 weeks now. I think the heat is affecting it since it is newly planted, but there are buds forming so soon there should be some blooms.

I also have a bunch and I mean a bunch of perennial hibiscus seeds that are from plants here at work. They are the white flowers, and I have no idea which ones, but they are pretty! If anyone is intersted PM me with your address and I will send you some.

I have a selection of those. I like this Paper White it looks like it needs ironing.

I have two large double rose of sharons, but don't like them.

Two perennials I grew from seed this year called Simply Love and Lemon Slice.

NOTE to self: Must get some red seeds. I'm going to Spain next month so hopefully I'll be able to snaffle some off the bushes there.

ED?

The top one is what i call a hardy shrub hibiscus (H. Syriacus).

This is one of my double rose of sharons. It's OK from a distance, but the flowers don't look good up close.

Gruntfuttock, you stop that right now. I have just gotten cuttings of a double pink and I can't wait to see them growing. Do you have seeds of the Double white? I have the single one called Lady Di.

Lemon Slice is a real little beauty
I must see if I can find one :)
I have another hardy Hibiscus that was given to me many years ago. Last year it formed buds but they never opened. This year it has loads of buds but with the cold wet weather they do not look like opening either. So, up until now, I don't even know what colour they are
Any seeds available for Lemon Slice Grunty?

Lemon Slice: No seeds, but shedloads of huge green pods, so expect a PM at harvest time.

Paper White: These don't flower until their 3rd or 4th year so although I recovered some seeds last year I don't know if they are true. I have 6 different Syriacus which may have cross pollinated.

I'm not sure it is double, the petals look very creased which is part of its appeal, but it looks semi double in the photo. I'll have a look when I get home tonight.

Thank you Spider.

OK you're forgiven although I was never offended in the first place.

I am J. Peasemould Gruntfuttock, the world's dirtiest dirty old man. (You'll have to Google that).

Don't worry Karma, I already have Simply Love seeds, and there are plenty of green pods on the Lemon Slices. I already have your address :-?
