A Few Of MIne
I was so amazed that I lost none of mine this year. I have moved them too many times trying to find the right spot. I finally made a bed last summer and got one group of hostas in there. I was sure that Captain Kirk and Cracker Crumbs were going to call it quits on me!

The ones in this group will be moved to permanent a new bed in a couple of weeks. They will be joined by Queen Of The Seas & Liberty when they arrive from Chris next month! Just a few in this group...

Hostas just look so pretty in the spring all fresly leafed out and we have just had a nice little rain. I wish I was better at photographing them!

Oh, very nice pics, Claudia! I love the look of hostas fresh out of the ground, with raindrops on them!
They look like they're all healthy and growing well. Once they get settled in well in a good spot, they're
really going to take off. Watch out for the size of that Moonlight Sonata when it's mature. I had
no idea it got so large. I didn't leave nearly enough room for mine.
Love your Key Lime Pie. Mine has struggled for the last couple years (moles tried to uproot it one year)
but it looks like it will finally have some size this year. It's just up, not yet unfurled, so I'd better not
get too excited about it.

Wow! wonderful pictures. Your Hosta look so healthy. I really like your Sagae, mine is just one eye and has not opened yet, so its nice to see what it will look like someday
Being new to Hosta I just love looking at pictures. It is a great learning tool, I get to see what the plants look like when they are more mature and how placement affects them. I also get ideas as to what plants look good together.
Keep posting pictures!

WOW, Claudia... not only really nice pictures, but your selection of hostas is really... well... select! Almost all of those featured are among my favorite 50 list...
newB, you aren't just seeing some nice pics, you are seeing some of the best of the best in Claudia's post.

Well, thank you all and Jim you are being very kind! I don't really have lot of hostas so I do try to make my selctions carefully and make them count! The main problem is I just really love the real big ones!! My Holy Mole is struggling. Again a victim of having been moved around to much I think.

Re: A Few Of MIne
Well since you mention moving your Hosta alot, and they look great! can you give me any tips? We are moving and I know when I start moving the plants they will get put in temp. beds until we get settled in. Is there anything you've learned that may help me with my move? I would really appreciate any advise.
Thanks!
Mari

I really tried to make sure I kept them watered but not overwatered. And.. I begged them really, really hard not to die on me!!
There are other people here more qualified then me to answer that. I only got into named hostas a couple of years ago. Everything I know I learned right here on Hallson's. SO do take advantge of them!!!!!!!!!!!!
