Anyone have a pic of Moon Waves?

Post by mooie »

In my hosta ID confusion, the one that has the Moon Waves tag in it, well, it's just so not it. Does anyone have a pic of it at this point in emerging so that I can ID the correct plant. I a lot of similar golds (also without tags) and am trying to sort it out. Thanks so much!

Here you go, Teresa. One from the top and one from the side. It's quite green yet, but gets more of a yellow cast to it later in the year.

Linda, thank you so very much for your picture! :D I think I have singled it out and will post pics of what I'm down to for everyones decision tomorrow. I have a smaller plant that I thing is Sunpower but it's young and it doesn't match up totally with either of my mature plants. I may have to live my life in a guessing game. :(

hey, mooie... about Sun Power... if I remember correctly, I grew a set from tc... so I thought Sun Power had kind of ruffled leaves that were lance-shaped... it was several years before the leaves got broad like the mature plant. Ditto for SP sports like Abba Dabba Do and Zippity Do Dah - I thought they had narrow leaves and then, at maturity, the leaves were much broader. More striking difference between juvenile and adult leaves in this particular family than in any others I can remember.

Here is a picture of my Sun Power this year. It is really green, I am still having doubts about it being Sun Power but it looks like it is suppose to other than the color that is :D
