Is this HVX?

After much searching last season I managed to find a Liberty with 4 plants in the pot. They had a bit of this damage last year but I thought it was just the hard life of a retail plant.
This year the fresh leaves are exhibiting the same cell collapse. I've read that if it was frost damage the collapse would be on both sides of the leaf, but it's only on the top.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is this the only spot on the leaf like that? I'm afraid I really can't tell for certain from looking at this. Wish it was more obvious so I could tell you for certain one way or the other.

The pot had 4 plants (not eyes) in it and I divided them up to give them more space. One of them it fine, one has a couple of leaves with this problem on it and the other 2 have one patch on 3 of their 4 leaves.

Hmm, that sounds a lot more widespread then, if it is on multiple plants. Would you be interested in sending me one of those leaves? I would like to take a closer look at it here for you. You can send a leaf in a ziploc bag, then put that in a second ziploc bag and send it in an envelope by first class mail to:

Just pluck off a dry leaf, don't add any water or paper towels or anything else to the bag. Don't cut off a leaf if you can help it because that will just contaminate your scissors if this is virus.

We have a USDA permit to receive virused plant samples here for testing/observation.

That's a fantastic offer Chris. I'll have to take a fresh leaf because that's all I've got. I'll use a disposable exacto blade.
