Need info...Give me your 20 favorites

We are building a new home and I am starting from scratch ...if you were going to add 20 of your favorites...the ones that would follow the 10 ft rule...which ones would you choose? Between a tornado and department of transportation taking half our land, I have lost so many hosta! It seems there are so many new ones, I feel I need some real help from the real experts!
