Redneck Lupine

Actually it is Baptisia australis aka wild blue indigo. Does anyone have this growing in the garden? Do you like it or hate it? I bought one.

Re: SEEDS

I forgot that I started this thread! But I've planted more seeds and even planted alyssum and lobelia in mini strawberry pots and those seeds have sprouted. I never grew lobelia before and can hardly believe how teeny tiny they start out! Now if only I owned a greenhouse and more plant lights!

Oh, I'm glad you posted pics! Being the birdlover that I am, Largo and Chipper really grab my attention. They're adorable. Oh, rats! I was hoping someone could tell me the magic trick. :hmm: Given that I've tried neglecting them and that didn't work, I'm going to experiment this year and give them lots of water.

I always start them outdoors but they're pathetic looking. I think they need more water. I thought I had a photo of them to show you but I can't find one.

Question on Morning Glories

Should I give the young plants lots of water and then less water once they've grown and become lush? I have Heavenly Blue seeds.

Wow! I'm so jealous of your talent and your monarchs. We only get swallowtails, frittilaries, and little white butterflies.

My husband let the lawn care people spray insecticide. I was really upset, but what is done is done. I wonder if insecitcide got on my parsley host plants!

I love cypress vine! It's very delicate and pretty. I haven't grown it in years though. I don't have a very good spot for growing plants from seed. And I'll bet the wild rabbits would eat cypress vine in a hurry!
