Hope you're feeling better, Andi. Your gardens are soooooo beautiful! Guess what I got? A forest Pansy, Redbud. Kevin made me get it - he reminded me how much I liked yours when we visted recently. Have you heard of a Dwarf Katsura? Supposed to be a rare guy, we found some at West Seattle Nursery.

Gorgeous Helle's, Andi! This is my first real year for hellebores, I received soooo many great ones from Natureboy (Jake) Seedlings that were various crosses, they're all burgandy, some with very dark flowers and some with speckles, so pretty. They flowered late, because they were young babies, some...

It's very small now, just in a 5 gallon pot.

I plan on putting it in a lightweight - large pot and protecting it on the coldest nights.

:D Hope it doesn't get too big, I have seen some huge Agaves in California (I get plant lust)

Agave's Anyone?

Just picked up Agave Guiengola 50% off, anyone growing Agave's? Think I'll put this in a pot with sharp drainage. Agave Guiengola A thick leafed agave with pale blue, almost white coloration. Dark contrasting spines are striking on this short stature plant. Leaves are succulent to six inches wide. H...

Sigh, makes me want to buy up a good piece of land and save it for posterity. Course it would have to be somewhere well away from the Seattle growth sprawl.

Chimacum, WA? LOL

Andi and Friends, let's start our own nursery. :D

Oh wow! That catalog cover is great! It's exactly how I feel. The HERON's are even crying. Pillaged and plundered, no scraps left behind. Does anyone know where the real estate Ad for the Heronswood ground is? I keep hearing rumors it's for sale, 11 mill, but I can't find a listing for it. Speaking ...

Wow, that's beautiful. What type of finish do you have on the stone to give it that beautiful polished look? (poly?) Thank you, No special finish, that's just stone wetted down with plain old water. I suppose you could apply a wet look stone sealer. Not sure I'd want to risk it on the flagstone, th...
