Re: Foliar Nematodes - are they inevitable?

The list goes on and on of the plants that have the foliar nems.....to name a few more: Brunneria, mums, ferns and many native timber plants also. Foliar nematodes are not something that are going to be eradicated ...

Re: Brown Spots ... Frost? Virus?

Our shade house had three nights of heavy frosts in a row. Many hostas are having a strange look to them. To me it appears to be frost damage, but will need Chris's opinion on this. Have a strange feeling hosta gardens in the midwest are going to have this look to them, and lot so folks are going to...

Re: Tips that save you work, time, and money in the garden?

Composting ...it is free and easy. Any one can compost. Your plants will take less water. Materials needed are greens and browns and a good pitch fork! Compost yard waste. Leaves, grass cuttings, veggie /fruit scraps, and coffee grounds. Collect horse poo or cow poo from friends who have horses or c...

Re: The last one is planted!

Tip the pots over after frozen and cover with layer of leaves. We have to remember- not uncover early or tip back over to early or the pots will get to m...

Re: Must have "Broodstock" and other breeding questions...

For red/purple petioles you may choose something like 'Harry Van De Laar', 'Cinnamon Sticks' or 'One Man's ...
