Used to get them in the vineyard - but never this big. That is probably the largest "grass-green" that ever existed. Their habatit is up in the tree tops , so this one was probably trying to find a tree. There is another species, I have only seen one-The black vine snake. They are long but very smal...

Our First Man (Men) on the Hosta Astroid

Chris, u are doing a great piece of work here. So, we are only a small community but u and yours are the Mayor, Chief of Police, etc. Where ever I am, I can plug in and find out what is going on---everywhere across the planet. If anyone wants to bitch-send them to me and I will tell them to hold my ...

Bless You!

You two are in my thoughts everyday. I missed the fishing & fireworks. I'm doing good work here, sorta like Johnny' Hosta Seed. Sorry that I caused so much confusion but there was no place else to put it. I still miss that Green Nature Lady, she was my life, but now I must move on. I just signed off...

Go directly to the web site. It has all the information. I think you can get the introductory "special" on line. That's the way I started. Glenn
I want to get another wall garden just for hosta seeds! Perhaps Santa will put one in my stocking! Nice talking with U.

Fun to garden in the kitchen!

My system (the wall garden) cost me almost $400.00 with all the bells and whistles. It has given me back more than I expected, but I am a hermit type. I bought the Master Garden Kit which allowes me the freedom to grow what I want. No mess, no fuss-just let it grow. U can't mess up because the digit...

New Profile?

How do I get out of the "Zack" and into a new profile. It's been some hard years for me but I still have friends at Hallsons. Green Nature Lady & "Zack" have finally let me be myself again. Glenn

Herb Chef Pack Seed Kit

I have posted before about the "new" kitchen appliance- a hydroponic garden system by AeroGarden. I just got my winter garden-"Herb Chef". I planted the whole system in less than an hour. It contains 14 culinary herbs, pre- planted. The system will be available soon in Target, Sears & Home Depot (?)...

Racoons- the bandits

I spend much of my time camping & fishing this summer. Have a tent set up within distance to return to water the Hostas, check mail, pay bill-etc. Everywhere I go I meet the "bandit". Under my tent, in my garden and on the Interstate. I do not feed them, am afraid of rabies, and luv the creatures. W...

Fish Emulsion?

I don't have much luck with the Miracle Grow but have good results with "Fish Emulsion". A product of Alaska that is high in nitrogen but will not "burn" your plants. It's not expensive and you just add a small amount to your watering can. My plants seem to love it.

Aerogarden - new hobby

I got a wall farm from Aerogarden, three months ago and want to share the idea. John Thompson spent 11 years designing this system for NASA. Now it's being sold as a kitchen appliance. What fun! I started with the herb garden & the tomato garden- now I've advanced to the Master Garden. Go on line & ...

Made my day!!!

What a web site! Me had to think slowly as I visited the pages. You are a giant teacher and really know your subject. Yes, you slowed me down with your words but the event was everlasting.

Tonydog

Just wanted everyone to know that Tony passed away after fourteen years of great friendship. I will miss him being by my side and guarding, the lot. He demanded that I walk at least one mile a day. Tomorrow I will take the same path without him. He was put to rest on a friend's farm, in the woods ne...

Oh, yes just go out there in the yard and catch a "Tom" and ask him if he wants to be "fixed". After the last one that I attempted to catch, I decided to buy a bullet-proof vest. On the farm, I did manage to take several female cats in to get them 'fixed' and it seemed to remove them from their natu...

I live, in an apartment complex between two ladies that adore cats. On the left the lady has two indoor cats. On the right is a lady that just likes to feed strays. Well Tony, my dog (14 years old) seems to be in trouble all the time :) It seems that when Tony wants out- there is always some cats wa...

Monday Day Trip

Got up early, beautiful sunny day. I grabbed the watercolors, the digital camera, and the fly rods. Just took off with dog Tony. Just got back after 12 hours. No watercolor, no fish, lots of pictures. I ended up in a rural area of Pa and Md. where they raise draft horses. Gosh they are beautiful and...

About 3 minutes away from me in MT is a restaurant named "Pryme Tyme". David is the Chef, and guess where he went to school thirty years ago. Yes, Yes, HR! Isn't it amazing that we have a new Super WalMart going in next door and the construction workers come in and order prime rib from Dave. They wa...

:-? :-? HV New York? You are the judges! Am, I not right. Just a simple little artist here, nothing like Winslow Homer or Hopper. Will post soon. Don't think anyone in HV would want to put my cheap paintings on their walls. Just teasing. Have done lots of Art History sessions on your area. Just want...

MAS Exhibit

The exhibit will be hung next week. I have completed 24 items for this exhibit. Can't wait until the weather breaks so I can into Plene Art. The Hosta's are unique, according to the Association.
