Re: Looking for pictures for the 2010 catalog
Oh, cool, Chris--it does look nice! I bet you'll get some sales on that one! It has performed so well for me and I really didn't expect that much from it because in the back of my mind, when I saw it at our local nursery, I thought I was buying 'Powder Puff' which I remembered as being a nice hosta ...

Re: Plantaginea variety ID?
Mine are a mystery, too! Mine are very tall and the leaves are slightly longer than most I've seen! The scapes are right! I have a tag I found buried today, and it names them 'Grandiflora'! I wondered if it was a 'real' name or one to make them seem 'special' but now I wonder!!! I need to get a rece...

Re: Guardian Angel
I looked through my Photobucket, and it seems that in May was the only time I snapped one of my G.A.! Does it qualify for this thread? http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/Hey_J/GuardianAngel5-09.jpg All the leaves are much darker right now, but you can still tell there is some variegation to them...

Oh, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you all!
You HAVE TO BE young at heart to be married so long and
still have energy left over, (enough) to share in a passion for
hosta, too!!!

Re: a walk down one of my hosta paths
Very nice, indeed, and bound to only get better--as you well know! :D My heart skipped a beat when I caught a glimpse of the hosta along the fenceline, in the last pic. at about 2:00, from Winter Snow, up to the right--the third up--the one with the ruffly green margin--golden centers! WHAT IS IT??...

LOL Charla--you're very right--I need more hosta, but sadly the space won't allow it! Now if you could pan out the picture a little bit, there's plenty surrounding this spot to fill the eyes! But, can one really have too many hostas??? The more reasonable question, might be-- can you run out of room...

Well, I thought I'd update you all! Again, you were so helpful and inspiring that I couldn't wait to do SOMETHING along the lines suggested! I have just finished this small pond, today! I started it this morning, the digging leveling etc.! It is mostly inground! The back-end is slightly above ground...
