Beautiful pictures. I love the contrast of the coral bells in front of the hosta. Very striking. I also admire your expertise in taking the pics. They are very good.

Some of mine did that last year and more this year. I tried to divide two of them last fall and all I have this year is two 1/2's of a bald plant.

Good looking flowers. What kind of rose is the first one? It sure is a pretty color.

I'm glad you asked about roundup. If this hosta had the virus I was going to try that as it is so close to my Blue Angels that I know the roots are touching.

Thank you, Chris

Thank you. I ordered August Moon and Wide Brim before I knew about this virus. They both look healthy but I isolated them just in case. All my other hosta I've had for 8 or 9 years so I should be pretty safe.

Is this the virus?

I don't know if this is the virus or not. This is the only discoloration and it is not bumpy. I thought at first it was either frost damage or sun scald though it is in a lot of shade.

Hi, I'm new here.

I have really enjoyed reading and looking at your post. I thought I'd show a couple of my garden junk now that I've learned (Ihope)how to post thumbprints! This is an old cast iron soap kettle that belonged to my DH grandmothers. I have 2 of them. I'll be using them as planters. http://img.photobuck...

Newbie here

Hi, I'm from SE Idaho, up in the mountains where gardening can be a real challenge. Unexpected frost and odd snow fall even in June! I've been lurking for a while now and just had to join in.
