Critter invasion

I have a critter, probably skunk or racoon, that is digging up my hostas looking for goodies. So far, I have found the hostas before any of them have died, but it's getting bad. Can anyone help me?
Thanks

This is what I have so far. They aren't very good pictures as I took them at night with artifical lighting. The streaked and larger green ones (I have not idea why I haven't thrown the plain green ones out) are a streaked mix purchased on eBay. I'll try to get a better picture of the streaked one an...

Malaprop, I enjoyed seeing your setup. I haven't looked for sheet cake pans for a long time. Do they sell them with the domed lids or are you using bakery cakes from some place like Walmart? Guess I'll have to break down and buy a can of Raid. I've tried everything for the @!*& gnats and so far, the...

Linda,

There are heating mats for seedling trays. Do a google and you'll find several places. I'm thinking of getting a couple myself to help cut the cost of heating the room a higher temp.

Dee, I have two pods on Korean Snow. They're hanging in there so far. I haven't had very good luck with pods in general this summer. Most of it is probably my own fault, but I think the weather has had something to do with it too.

Curtis, I notified the seller of the error and was compensated as he didn't have Breeder's Choice. It was still a disappointment.

Curtis,

I'll try to remember to take a pix of BE tomorrow and then, split it up per your suggestion. Sounds like a very interesting venture. Hostas are such fun.

I've been doing my 'first attempts' at hybridizing this summer too. I bought Breeder's Choice and ended up getting Breeder's Edge due to mislabeling at the seller's end. I've bred BE to itself and Warwick's Essence and BE appears to be sterile. Self breeding WE is producing pods (and some others are...
