Re: Doggone critters!!!

This means WAR! I came home one day last week to find my Honeybells missing, yes MISSING. There were 3 leaves left from the thriving plant laying in the soil. Two days later .....Black Hills....GONE! roots, leaves...gone! This is the work of a pocket gopher. Earlier this month my pom pom pine tree ...

Re: Walmart find

Bob is right. Pure white cats can be either blind or deaf. Also kittens have blue eyes until they are older than 4 weeks. My Wilbur had blue eyes when I rescued him but they changed to orange as he got older. Are u feeding them dry food or wet? I feed ours mostly wet, but if I feed them dry I add wa...

Re: Will Roundup kills cat tails?

Thanks kht and Tigger. I spoke to a guy tonight and he said he would help me with the cat tails. I tried to pull the pots out but I just don't have the strength. So hopefully this will work. I liked the mini cat tails, but they are no longer minis.they are now very tallLOL I have a little pond on th...

Re: 103 for a high today

Chris, it was even hot here today. It was 39C, don't know what that is in F. I went out around 5 a.m. and watered the hostas in the backyard until 6:30. The front gardens need to be fixed up but I wasn't doing it in this heat, plus the black flies and squitters would of had me for breakfast. LOL The...

Re: Will Roundup kills cat tails?

Unfortunately we have no frogs. We do have birds though they usually use the bird baths.

I cannot pull them out, I was only able to cut 2 of them. I will try to find someone who can help.

Thanks for your comments. :D

Re: Dragon Pond

Love the dragons and the different pots u used for the plants.!

I see that the outline of the pond is showing, do U need to cover that with rocks so that the UV rays doesn't make it brittle or will it be ok?

That is nice! Do u get many birds?

Is there a rubber lining under all those rocks and the water just gets pumped up into the bigger stone?

Re: Will Roundup kills cat tails?

Yes the pond is contained and around it is raised beds. The pond is only 18" deep in the middle and about 4' X 6'. I would not be spraying the round up on the leaves, but onto a sponge in my hand or paper towel in my hand then using that to wipe the leaves of the cat tails. Do u think just wiping th...

Hi OED!!! I was just thinking of u the other day and wondering how u and the pups were doing. I'm sorry to hear about your FIL, but it was nice that u were able to keep him with u. When Bob Scott posted in my thread I didn't know who it was and I was going to ask if anyone knew how OED was. Then I r...
