Dont know how it got there....honest (got to stay out of the garden centers). MollyD, I can relate to the no money, but luckily I have found most of then...

MollyD,

Here is a picture of what my lime rickey looks like right now. You can see the burnt leaves underneath (actually most of the burnt leaves are last years growth) and how quickly the new leaves are covering them up. In a couple of weeks you probably wont even notice them.

MollyD, alot of people had problems with amber waves dying out. I had 2, one died off completely and the other has never gotten any bigger that a couple of inches. I think it is the smallest one I have ever seen. Marmelade was supposed to be hardier and caramel is supposed to be even better. If ambr...

Caliloo, the nursery where I got Paris is where I have bought most of heucheras from. She amazing plants, I don't think I have ever lost one from her, she's really honest (will openly tell you not to waste your money on amber waves, which one is better than the other etc) and he prices are really re...

Heuchera 'Orange man'?

Has anyone ever seen heuchera orange man? In browsing the plant lists for our local nurseries, I found a listing for it. It is described as the oddity in this category…it’s spotted and blotched with purple, chartreuse, amber-gold. I could not find a picture of it. Just wondering if it is worth the 3...

They followed me home....honest!

So I have Paris, Rave On, Cinnabar Silver and Fireworks sitting in my livingroom. Purchased these a couple of weeks ago at a plant show and am just waiting to plant them out (soon!). I got chocolate ruffles a couple of days ago (thought I had it, turns out I was wrong and it is crimson curls I have....

MollyD, my lime rickeys do the same thing. One of them is in a bed under the birch tee and until it gets more shade, a few of the leaves get a little brown. But the leaves quickly regrow and cover them up. Our Walmarts (not sure if our Canadian ones order different plants or that we have a few staff...

Ooooooo, (wipes drool off chin). I love that French Quarter! :o I have Paris, just bought it a couple of weeks ago. Haven't planted it out yet so can't really say how it will do. The woman I bought it from (where I get alot of my heucheras from) did say it was one of her favorite new ones (of course...

Thanks MollyD. I will keep an eye on it. I have never had a problem with the heuchera I have bought from Walmart in the past. I usually manage to find a couple there early in the season. I saw silver scrolls this morning at a different one. I already have chocolate ruffles, but couldn't pass up a se...

I saw plum pudding and palace purple at our Walmart. Almost stopped looking and then a tag caught my eye. Low and behold, found chocolate ruffles at Walmart. I already had one but I paid a fortune for it a few years ago and couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a 2nd one for $6. I may go back and ...

John, I have most of mine in some kind of sun (partial, morning, afternoon etc). I agree, the sun brings out the best in them. The only ones in mostly shade are palace purple, dales strain and obsidian. Fran, I have compiled the list from various places. I have over 200 on the list :o Only problem i...

Yes I saw the thread by Phyllis on how to start them by seed. That was planted the idea in my brain (that and all the beautiful photos of the little heuchera babies). I have never attempted to grow by seed. Every year I say i am going to do it and every year it is too late by the time I think of it....

Yeah! Im not alone!

Hi everyone, I have just spent the last 2 hours reading all the posts in this forum. Finally, people who share my love of heucheras, yipee! My family just roll their eyes and start to glass over when I mention heucheras. Although, I will give my mom credit in that she is starting to fall in love wit...
