black beauty

today i found this new heuchera at a nursery in asheville - note, new to me - i am not sure if this is a new introduction

but, "black beauty" is the darkest of any heuchera i have seen - nice addition to my little garden

in my potager i have 4 of the raised beds are triangles – 4x4x6 – in the center of the triangle i am planting (in a partially sunken terra cotta pot) a canna lily , tropicana - the garden has other terra cotta and i use tuscan colors as much as possible what suggestions do you have as companion plan...

what time of year do they appear and what do they look like

do they eat the flag from the inside and move toward the rhizome - and when will the little guy be big enough for me to see

Help - Iris Doctor

the photo image looks better than the iris - they are pale, have small brown spots on some of the flags, some flags have wavy areas, and some are turning brown from the top down - thanks for any help

my grandmother's iris
