today i found this new heuchera at a nursery in asheville - note, new to me - i am not sure if this is a new introduction

but, "black beauty" is the darkest of any heuchera i have seen - nice addition to my little garden

in my potager i have 4 of the raised beds are triangles – 4x4x6 – in the center of the triangle i am planting (in a partially sunken terra cotta pot) a canna lily , tropicana - the garden has other terra cotta and i use tuscan colors as much as possible what suggestions do you have as companion plan...

many of my heuchera are outgrowing the pot they are in - when can i divide - now or should i wait until fall

new to iris - a question or three about the dreaded iris borer

what time of year do they appear and what do they look like

do they eat the flag from the inside and move toward the rhizome - and when will the little guy be big enough for me to see

the photo image looks better than the iris - they are pale, have small brown spots on some of the flags, some flags have wavy areas, and some are turning brown from the top down - thanks for any help

As I have posted before I am locating and collecting my grandmother’s historic irises. When I find them, I dig and place in my potager. I am making an iris bed four feet wide and up to twenty feet long. What should the spacing be between varieties and between the plants of the same variety? Thanks f...

I am planning to create an iris bed - probably 26 X 4 feet - what other plants (if any) could be used as companion planting - any suggestion would be helpful

this is one iris of the few that i have from my grandmother's iris garden - i think the color is very light lemon - maybe it is white - have no idea of the name - she grew iris between 1950 and 1963 - pretty flower and beautiful memories mr toad http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v453/alycetoad/DSCN0...
