Iris 'Evolution'
Hey Joe, your Evolution is finally blooming after I rescued it last year and gave it better digs.

Nice selection, Chris. 'Blackberd' is really something!
Re: Parasites
I'm glad that the Zinger is working for you. There is nothing so frustrating as waiting for plants to mature and bloom and then have them taken out by pests.

Re: Iris rhizomes
A few years ago I sent my mom a bag of rhizomes and she misplaced them in the garage and didn't find them until a year later. She planted them and they all did just fine. They are so tough.

It does look very old, given the narrow petals. I doubt you'd find a name for it. It is a really lovely flower.

It really is something else. I guess others think so too - I am seeing all kinds of new intros that obviously have this as a parent.

Re: Check out the tail on this kitten!
That's a cute nickname, Chris. Mr. Bugsy has been the only one of ours to come home with a tick. Hopefully the first and last one. Here's a shot of him coming back with that plume waving along behind. So cute! Would love to see a pic of Foxy.

Check out the tail on this kitten!
Our youngest is almost a full grown kitty now. Check out his tail! It is like a big feather boa floating along behind him. Mr. Bugsy is turning into a very sweet kitty.

Re: A few siberians
Please post pics when they bloom. Would love to see what all you planted. Here's one of those new color combos that came out several years ago. This is White Amber. AIS Bulletin had a fantastic article from the hybridizer last month on their latest creations and directions they are going. A very exc...

Re: Minature Tall Beardeds starting
A couple more... Aren't the soft tones of Please just delightful? She's A Doll has a neat blend of orchid pink and apricot pink. It had such a warm glow to it on a cloudy day. Mystic Crystal has beautiful clean white flowers of perfect flared and tailored form. If I had a small garden again I would ...

Minature Tall Beardeds starting
I love the sweet little flowers on the MTBs. I added several a few years ago and the clumps are starting to fill in and bloom. Aglow Again is covered in stalks and will be a sight to see in another few days. We went down to Aitken's Salmon Creek Garden and saw some wonderful MTBs there as well. Doll...

Re: Late iris season in the PNW
KHT- The sun this past few days has things moving along rapidly. I'm not sure how to compare the number of blooms so far as so little is going. Last year when this happened I noticed that there were fewer flowers out on the stalks than usual - warmer temps seemed to get more of them opening at once ...

Late iris season in the PNW
Hope everyone's having a better season than we are. Once again we're having and extra long, cold, wet spring. The irises are a month behind normal, and the Convention is in Victoria, BC next week. Won't be much to see I'm guessing unless a heat wave comes on suddenly and gives it all a push. Anyway,...
