Citation Issue
Help! I got this Citation in late May. Since I was not sure where it should go in my beds and due to the fact that I am redoing some of them on account of tree root competion I decided to up-pot it into a larger pot. Now it has developed these darker green "flecks" on the new growth. I imagine the b...

Tomato Blossom End Rot - How did you deal with it?
Greetings Veggie Gardeners I'm asking this to help out my Dad. I think I read some ideas about how to deal with this here before but don't have time to look back or do some internet research like I normally would. If I remember correctly it is caused by a calcium deficiency. Any advice would be grea...

Some the rabbits didn't get...
Here's a few blooming in my garden now that I managed to save from the rabbits. They are a quite a problem this year and seemed to really zero in on the lily bed .

Hello Claudia! I have been away for a bit but now I'm back to catch up. The red lily is Schellenbaum. And you already know the yellow in your latest post is the real Polka Dot Bikini. Glad you're enjoying them and sharing them here in pictures :P. I would say they made the move with you, no problem....

Yes! I have. Darn critters. Even some of the babies I have from special crosses I've done. Seems as though we have a large population of them this season. They always "cut" at an angle like that. And it just irritates me even more that they just leave them laying - at least they could eat the...

Dwarf iris Raspberry
Taken last week in the rock garden. I like this combination of purple iris with the golden yellow of this shrub. First year for this shrub...

Juniper Fool's Gold
I purchased a juniper ‘Fool’s Gold’ last weekend on a whim. The nursery had one growing in a container, where they said it had survived winter without any extra protection, impressive. I was struck by the fine texture and bright golden color of the foliage, which the lady there said it holds all yea...

Viktoria! A peony from seed - that's great! (And from China yet!) Quite an accomplishment. I'm impressed. Those last two look quite similar, but if you look closely, you can see they are different. I have tried peonies from seed too but no luck so far. That doesn't mean I won't try again. I too am e...

Hi Annie. I can't say that I ever have. Just pinks, purples and whites. What is the shape of the leaves? Are they like the hardy ones or more like the pelargoniums, that we know as the annuals or bedding plants? Try to get a picture if you can and post it here. That might help. I'll be intrested to ...
