Re: Brunnera

I have Jack Frost Brunnera and it does not die back until it frosts.

The foliage stays very pretty all summer.

Re: Wildlife Prairie park

Annie,
Great pictures. My daughters school mascot is the cougar and she loves your picture.

I am looking at getting a new camera and want to know what kind you have. That feature that will focus out the fence is really cool.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and thanks for the info.

I think spider webs look so neat with dew or fog on them. Those are very good pics.

Great pictures. I may be able to help on what they are. I'm not real good at IDing stuff, but I think I know these three.
1. El Bandito

4. Cleo

5. Strawberry Candy

Take it easy and don't do too much too soon or you will slow down your recovery.

Mine doesn't have any scapes either. I can't remember if it bloomed last year or not. I got it the year before in August.

Thanks for looking.

Lucy, I got Yesterday Memories last June. From a daylily farm and brought it home and planted it the next day. It and the other ones I got the same day, hardly knew the had been dug and moved.

Thanks again for looking.

Claudia, Thank you so much for posting this useful information. I know how almost all of the features on my camera work and I use them, but I was never clear with the ISO thing, and my manual is useless on this point. I check in here at Hallsons almost everyday and read posts. I don't post much, but...

This is the spot I chose to post, because it was such an eyesore when we moved here. That is a "hump" because there is a dozer pile of fence posts and wire under there that was covered with manure. The soil is fantastic, but it is a mess under it. When we moved here it was covered with hemlock about...

I think they are cute when they are sleeping. Ours get into some of the most amazing positions to sleep. This is a picture of our boys all sleeping together in the sun on the sofa. We have a female, but she is hard to get a picture of asleep.

After you identified this for me, I called a lady who is an avid bird watcher to see if she had ever seen one. She had never even heard of them before. She was very interested.

So thanks again for the help.

Paul,

Thanks so much for the identification. I will let my neighbor know. We have lots of cattle around here, but have never seen one of these before.

Thanks again.

This bird was in my neighbors yard this morning. I saw it as my daughter was getting on the school bus. I grabbed my camera and was only able to get a shot at a distance, so it is a little fuzzy, when I crossed the street to get a better view it flew. My neighbor saw me and called to see if I knew w...

I had one buzz me yesterday, when I was hanging laundry on the line. I saw it go to the feeder and then I saw it again this morning on the feeder. I'm sure there will be more in no time. Spring is finally here. :P
