I think the issue with the effectiveness of bleach is contact time. Spraying a bleach solution on a tool and wiping off reduces the time the bleach is in contact with the material on the tool. HVX in Overland Park and Shawnee Kansas
I’ve seen HVX at Lowe’s here in the Kansas City area and also at one of the larger nurseries. Sad, because I know this nursery has been told, and I’m pretty sure they had virus plants found by the department of agriculture last season, and then they have Gold Standard with ink bleed stripes on them....

Pretty much the same here
I was at the Lowe’s in Shawnee Kansas the other day, the Golden Tiara are really bad. They looked like someone had sponge painted dark green on the leaves. So Sweet was pretty deformed, and the Gold Standard were still green in the center, so I wouldn’t expect to see any symptoms on those yet. What ...

Chris, There were a couple of different varieties, tagged as hosta “assorted”. The damaged on the darker ones looks a lot like the infected ‘Blue Cadet’ I saw at Lowe’s last week. Here’s another photo. I’ve never had a plant that showed the tan/brown dry scale patches. I don’t know how long it takes...
