Daylilies and daffodils are not affected by juglone, the toxic substance produce by walnut trees. In fact I have many species of plants in my garden and all do well.Tomato plants are not suppose to do will with black walnut trees, but don't tell my tomato's this.

My hostas make seedings but if I don't move them to their own spot they parish during summer when they don't get enough water. Is it true that money grows on hosta or more likely hosta takes takes the money away. Nice way of showing the leaf size.

So far I've only tried Cosmic Eye and Cosmic Evolution. Both came back this year but the jury's still out on second year vigor. So far route 66 is amazingly vigorous in it's second year.

Has any one seen this bloom by chance? Is it more of a brick type red as as found in say Cosmic Eye and hucherelles. Or a softer cherry red that would blend well with pink. I think mine is planted in the wrong spot. Weather is still cool here and I could probably move it if I do it soon. Thank you Pat
